So, i just listened to the new album that gcwcf released today. Upon first listen, i did find it to be quite “pop”-ish and nothing really jumped out at me. the lyrics did seem to reference corporate greed and economic problems and whatnot but it wasnt totally coming together for me.  He seemed to be throwing words out there and giving a general consensus that it was bad but i wasnt sure about the message that i was meant to come away with. I didn’t find anything particularly memorable off of it the first time, which i hope will change with further listens. I did appreciate the ending track, as you could very well tell the end was nigh and it gave me a good feeling, leaving things on a positive note. Overall i think this album will takea few listens to get stuck into, and hopefully i will grow to like it more as time goes on! i’ll be seeing sam and his crew in concert on may 22nd- the day after my birthday :)
