I’m thinking about starting to post videos *gulp*
I’m a little nervous, as i don’t find myself to be the most charming of on-camera personalities, but i’d really like to start putting myself out there more as a fit vegan blogger.
Would you guys be into that?
My favourite diet….well i don’t really diet :P my diet is just what i eat on a general basis. So i guess i’ll say medium-high carb vegan? works for me! :) and clean eating, if that counts as a diet! just nice whole foods really, that’s the way to be. limit processed foods/sugar as much as possible!
went on a long, treacherous hike in the peak district with my boyfriend today :) It was a stunning journey every step of the way, albeit a wet one :P there were loads of sheep just roaming the hills as they do apparently- they were too timid to let me touch them but we could get fairly close :D the babies were soooo cuteeeeee <3 and i found out that sheep have tails…like legitimate, long wooly tails. i’ve never seen this represented in pictures or anything and i found it a bit troubling that i’ve only ever been exposed to sheep with docked tails!!!!! so while that was a bit sad, it was still really awesome to see them in their natural environment having a nice time :) not a fence in sight!
it was a 3 hour hike in all and my god it was difficult :L my legs were like lead at some points, 45 minutes on the stationary bike yesterday didnt help my situation…but i felt really accomplished when we got back. We climbed rocks, leapt over big streams/rivers, trudged through mud and faced gusting winds. a day very well spent :D when i entered the hike into MFP it said i burned about a days worth of calories…..woops. so today i had a net of like 480 cal even though i ate nearly 1800 ???? absurd :P but i’ve eaten all that i could muster today so i might just eat a bit more liberally tomorrow to make up for it. it was a really fun day :D i didnt realise hiking burned so many calories either! i’ll have to do it more often over this summer if i can find some spots….:P
anyway i’ll end it here for now :) hope youre all doing well.
Decided to eat raw today to let my body cleanse itself of all the food i put into it yesterday :x booo jubilee party letting me mess up my diet. ah well, pushing onwards and upwards (hopefully downwards in the weight department)
Tofu scramble with broccoli and red pepper with a touch of soy sauce and paprika, with a spinach salad dotted with sugar snap peas and drizzled with lemon juice/olive oil. So. Good. (Can you tell I was craving veggies? )
i’m back at home now :)
it was a very active yet very food filled weekend with Luke! as i mentioned, we did a pretty intense strength/cardio circuit followed by a run on thursday, and then i stationary biked for like 35 minutes followed by a jog on friday :) (calories which i very quickly ate back when indulging in our vegan rainy day BBQ :L worth every bite though) And then yesterday we played some football- walking back from which, i rolled my previously injured ankle and it was very painful :L
i dont think i gained anything (am hoping anyway :P we’ll see tomorrow i guess) but i dont think i lost anything either xD that said it’s still worth celebrating as i was very well behaved foodwise compared to other times i’ve gone! hoping it’s reset my metabolism so that this week i can kill it ;) even though it’s shark week….grr….
it was really great to exercise as much as i did while i was there :) i’m looking forward to my next visit in fact! (well i always look forward to our visits xD) but it was a lot different to things i normally do for exercise, so in that sense, it was very much enjoyable :) and he doesnt let me slack, either :P
anyway it’s rainy and gross now, not the most inspiring of weather, but i think i’ll do some reading & revising this evening and then attempt some sort of low impact exercise to spare my ankle further trauma. it’s doing pretty well considering how badly it hurt yesterday, but then again it didnt swell up or anything so i’m thinking i just agitated it. should be back up to form by wednesday if not sooner i think :)
well that’s my update for this weekend. i’ll let you know how thing go for my workout tonight, and possibly stats update tomorrow :) hoping this will be the week i see 130!
